Glass Washing Facilities
Shared glass washing facilities are located in rooms 3610, 5610, and 6610, and are available to all GBSF researchers. The autoclaves and dishwashers are under a maintenance contract with Sterilizer Technical Specialists (STS). In the event of an equipment failure, individuals should contact STS at 800-408-3298 and submit a service request. You will need to provide the following information:
- Building name (GBSF)
- Floor/Room Number
- Autoclave or washer requiring service (left/right)
- Your name and phone number
After placing the service call, please post the Out-of-Order sign over the equipment (the sign is located on the back of the hanging binder), and contact the GC Administrative Staff at 530-754-9648. In the event of a catastrophic infrastructure failure (building steam or water leak) please contact the Facilities Workorder Desk at 530-752-1655. Ice Machines
Ice machines are located in hallways near rooms 3606, 4216, 5606, and 6606, just outside of the glass washing facilities.
Dry Ice
Dry ice is available to GBSF researchers at the following locations:
- Room 3610 150 lbs., delivered every Monday
- Room 4610 150 lbs., delivered every Monday
- Room 5610 150 lbs., delivered every Monday and Thursday
- Room 6610 150 lbs., delivered every Monday and Thursday
If you have an emergency and deplete the supply of dry ice, please contact the GC Administrative Staff at 530-754-9648 to arrange for an additional delivery.
Lactation Room
A lactation room is available to GBSF researchers in Room 5215. The room is accessible via the QR code provided outside the room.
